They played a great portion of their careers in opposing conferences, met in the NBA Finals just once and played vastly different positions. But the careers of Allen Iverson and Shaquille O'Neal intersected in more ways than one. The two biggest similarities that stand out are their sheer dominance and the fact they entered the Basketball Hall of Fame together in 2016. The 2000-01 season was one for the ages. Iverson led the league in scoring and steals and brought the 76ers back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1983. The Sixers matched up with the O'Neal-led Lakers, who were the defending champions. Despite Iverson's brilliant effort, Shaq and the Lakers captured the title in five games. The big man won NBA Finals MVP honors. Iverson and O'Neal have autographed and inscribed "2016 HOF" on this Spalding indoor/outdoor basketball in silver paint pen. Their signatures and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
