After getting selected 15th in the first round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Joe Sakic played one more season in the Western Hockey League before making his NHL debut in 1988. His talent was on display form the get-go as he scored his first career goal in his second career game. He notched a two-goal game the next night and scored his first hat trick in just his eighth career game. He went on to score 23 goals as a rookie and went on to post a pair of 48-goal seasons in a Nordiques sweater before the franchise relocated to Denver following the 1994-95 season. With a deadly accurate slap shot, he scored 234 goals in 508 games in Quebec and skated in five All-Star Games as a young Nordiques center. His power shines through in this image as an official Nordiques puck literally breaks through the sheet of Plexiglas to give the piece a true 3-D effect. Sakic has signed this limited edition (25) Quebec Slap Shot Breaking Through 16" x 24" image in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five Step Process.
