Following a stellar prep career where he starred for his Australian academy (as well as a couple stints in the Australian National Team program) as well as for Montverde Academy in Florida, Ben Simmons committed to play his college ball at Louisiana State University. The McDonald's All-American and Gatorade Player of the Year turned in a double-double in his first regular season game in a Tigers uniform. Later in his freshman campaign, he poured in 43 points with 14 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and three blocks. It marked the first time an LSU player had scored that many points since Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal in 1991. The Australian native went on to average 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.8 blocks per game in his lone season at LSU. Simmons has signed this limited edition (25) Nike LSU Tigers basketball in silver paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
