Jari Kurri is considered an icon for fans in Finland and throughout the hockey world due to his consistent performance throughout a career that featured five Stanley Cup® championships. When he unexpectedly arrived in Edmonton following the 1980 NHL® Draft, Kurri was a shy young player who spoke very little English. Kurri's play steadily improved, and in the 1982-83 season he recorded a 100-point season while reaching 50 goals as well. Kurri went on to win five Stanley Cups® in 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988 and 1990 as a member of the Oilers®. Kurri has signed and inscribed "5x SC Champ" on the puck in black paint pen. Kurri's signature and inscription were witnessed under UDA's Five-Step Authentication Process.
