The captain of the Edmonton Oilers, Connor McDavid, had two goals and an assist against the Calgary Flames in the first regular season game ever played at Rogers Place. McDavid's two goals happened less than three minutes apart during the second period. The 19 year old helped turn out a positive outcome for the special night and first game of the inaugural season. The game was tied 3-3 after the Oilers gave up a 3-1 lead in the second period on consecutive shorthanded goals. McDavid had a tremendous night with the fourth and fifth goal to give the Oilers a 5-3 lead. McDavid has inked his signature and the inscription "Rogers Place Debut 10/12/16" on this UDA designed 16"x24" image in black paint pen. His signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
