Connor McDavid played as a center for the Erie Otters from 2012 to 2015 after being selected with the first overall pick in the OHL Priority Selection Draft. The Otters are a Major junior hockey team based in Erie, Pennsylvania and they play in the Midwest Division of the Ontario Hockey League. McDavid wore No. 97 on the Otters to represent the year he was born and now wears the same number in the National Hockey League. He was named captain of the Otters for the 2014-15 season and showed his ability to lead the team and succeed.
