The Lakers had their sights set on acquiring perennial All-Star center Anthony Davis for a while, and they finally got their man right before the 2019 NBA Draft. In one of the first interviews for Davis upon his arrival in Los Angeles, he was asked what his goals were in playing for one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. He made it clear: to win a championship. “My goal is to win a championship,” Davis said. “I expect to win every time I step on the court, every game. That’s what it’s about – winning titles. That’s the only thing on my mind.” Challenge given. With that quote, Davis made it clear to the rest of the NBA that his teaming with LeBron James meant the duo didn’t care about anything else except hoisting trophies. That quote is shown in this designed piece that also features a pregame image of Davis at Staples Center. In the upper right corner of the image, you can see the spot where jersey numbers have been retired by the Lakers. The version is framed with a classic black suede mat and black wood frame to give it a total framed size of approximately 40x19. Davis has autographed this limited edition (100) framed “Winning Titles” 36” x 15” designed image in gold paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
